Quratulain Balouch Career

Quratulain Balouch, better known to people as QB, is a Pakistani singer who started off her career in 2011 with a cover of one of Reshma’s superlative singles, Ankhian nu ren de which to her surprise made waves on its release and put Balouch in to the spot light. Balouch textured voice soon got noticed and she became part of Coke Studio season 4 where she belted out Tere Ishq main, a collaboration with Jal The Band. This breakthrough was all that was needed and there was no looking back since without formal training and with no intentions of taking music as a profession at an early age, “it was bound to happen.” Soon after, Balouch's voice could be heard on television accompanying a recent play titled “Humsafar” a song that not only capitalizes on Balouch’s unique voice but has also been well received by critics. Her live performances are a real treat for audiences who have witnessed the Rockstar and a half, belting out melodies with a strong presence on stage. In 2012, Quratulain represented Pakistan in a live performance with the Philharmonic Orchestra for the BBC Asian Network’s Queens of Melody and a wild card entry for the Indian band Euphoria against Pakistan’s winners Strings in Redbull Sound Clash UAE 2014.

Balouch has won the Pakistan’s Youngest Achievement Award UK and Europe 2011, Song of the year and Best Original Soundtrack for Woh Humsafar tha at the Lux Style Awards 2012.
